Heaven on Earth

Around every corner,
a field of crepe 
red poppies,
corduroy wheat, 
bails of bounty, 
the castle, 
the kingdom, 
infinity.

The view:
frugality, faith
humility, patience. 

This is no still-life.

Vistas of healing,
healthy boundaries;
vivid and vibrant. 

Paradise is no tableau.

We must plow, 
harvest,
set the table,
gather, 
serve, 
receive.
